We’ve talked before about the importance of social media and creating a social media presence, but what about engagement? Social engagement can look different across platforms but it all boils down to the same thing— is your audience liking, commenting, sharing and connecting to your posts? Follow these few tips to make sure you’re optimizing your social media engagement.

  • Community management— To help build a tighter community around your brand, make sure you’re reaching people of the same interest. Like, comment on, and share photos that relate to your brand. People want to connect beyond social media and showing that there is more beyond the social accounts can help build trust with your audience.
  • Be real— In the perfectly curated world of social media, it’s refreshing to see genuine posts and real people. Stories are a great way to connect with your audience. Ask for their opinion and take their responses or concerns into consideration.
  • Engage— This one may seem obvious but it’s an important reminder. Make sure you’re interacting with your audience when they’re interacting with you. Ask them questions, answer their questions, and comment, like + share posts that you’re tagged.
