The Georgia Chapter of the National MS Society is closing out 2025 on a strong note, announcing the addition of six new members to its Board of Trustees while celebrating a year marked by growth, engagement, and fundraising success. Read the full press release here.

Following a recent board retreat, the chapter welcomed new trustees whose professional expertise and personal commitment to the MS community will help advance the Society’s mission to find a cure for multiple sclerosis and empower people affected by MS to live their best lives. With these appointments, the Georgia Chapter’s 2026 Board of Trustees now totals 25 members.

The newly appointed trustees include:

  • Andrea Medford, Director of Human Resources at The Mount Vernon School in Atlanta
  • Collier Williams, Strategic Partnerships at Becklar
  • Dan Kolbenschlag, Senior Manager at Grant Thornton, LLP
  • Dr. Grace Gombolay, Associate Professor at Emory University, Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Neurology Residency Program, and Director of the Pediatric Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
  • Jenny Agel, Senior Consultant with CGI
  • Jon Murphy, Founder and President of Redwood Commercial LLC

The board announcement follows a successful year for the chapter, highlighted by its fall signature event, Taste of Generosity: Bourbon + Botanicals, which exceeded its fundraising goal by 124% and saw a 15% increase in growth compared to its debut in 2024. In addition, board members expanded their collective giving, bringing in nearly $500,000 through committed contributions.

The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in shaping the chapter’s strategic vision, guiding fundraising efforts, and strengthening community-driven support. The new members recently began their one-year terms and join an engaged group of leaders focused on expanding resources, building awareness, and bringing more people into the MS movement.

Looking ahead, the Georgia Chapter invites the community to participate in its 2026 events, including Walk MS Augusta on March 14, Walk MS Savannah on March 28, Walk MS Atlanta at Atlantic Station on April 18, Taste of Generosity on August 14 (tentative), and Bike MS in LaGrange on Sept. 19.
