Paces Properties’ Larkin On Memorial, located in Grant Park, recently welcomed a new eatery from Firepit Pizza Tavern owner Leslie Cohen and Executive Chef Shaun Whitmer.
Called Birdcage, the restaurant serves up flavorful Latin-inspired dishes, including sweet potato bravas, red chicken tacos, black bean croquettes, agave lime ribs, and citrus adobo chicken. The cocktail menu includes a variety of beers on draft + in cans, wines, unique cocktails featuring flavors like mango, jalapeno, and prickly pear, and even a frozen horchata colada.
The restaurant’s interior matches the liveliness of the menu, featuring bold colors, gold accents, feathered light fixtures, and actual birdcages hanging from the ceiling. For those who enjoy dining outdoors, the restaurant also offers a dog-friendly patio.
