You’re likely familiar with NETHERWORLD Haunted House, the nationally-ranked haunt season attraction that’s been scaring Metro Atlanta residents and visitors from across the world for nearly 30 years now!
In addition to the over-the-top haunted house, NETHERWORLD also offers five incredible escape rooms for those who love riddles, mystery, and a little bit of fright. Believe it or not, the escape rooms are just as spectacular as the haunted houses, with incredible sets and sound effects, intricate storylines, and surprises that even the most experienced escape room aficionados won’t see coming! With five options, it’s hard to choose which one to do first. We recommend trying them all, but here are a few details on each one to help you decide the perfect escape room for you!
Alien Terror: Doom of the Dark Horizon: Want to take your very own trip to space, like celebrities Katy Perry and Gayle King (without all the controversy – we promise!)? Then check out Alien Terror: Doom of the Dark Horizon! Our very own team did this room back when it first opened, and we can’t overstate how stellar it is! You’ll be completely immersed in an intergalactic battle, including spaceships and possibly a few extraterrestrial creatures…..
Haunted: Curse of the Night Hag: True fans of fright + fear will love this room – it’s arguably the scariest of the bunch! You’ll become a member of the Grithem family, who have been haunted by a terrifying entity known as the Night Hag for the last 200 years. Your mission will be exploring the lab of your eccentric uncle, Thomas Grithem, to discover the Night Hag’s secret and banish it forever, or change your family’s fate for the worse!
Nosferatu: Van Helsing’s Secret!: If you just saw Ryan Coogler’s Sinners and are ready to star in a vampire thriller of your own, look no further than this room! While you won’t run into a fang-wearing Michael B. Jordan, you just may encounter one of the world’s most infamous vampires, Nosferatu, in 1900s London, England.
Sasquatch: Bigfoot’s Revenge!: Who knows what you’ll encounter when you and a few friends get lost in the woods during a camping trip…mountain lions, bears, or Bigfoot, oh my! Without cell phone access, you’re able to get in contact with a park ranger via walkie-talkie, who directs you to a mysterious cabin to escape the howls and growls coming from outside. If you love urban legend lore and a good (slightly spooky) cabin trip, this is the escape room for you!
Tiki Island: Attack of the Shark God!: While you may be hesitant about taking a tropical vacation this year, you can always escape to Tiki Island, thanks to NETHERWORLD! This room will transport you to a tiki-themed beach house in Maui, where you’ll end up in the middle of a powerful battle between the most powerful Gods in Hawaiian mythology!
