As the design community continues to mourn the loss of ADAC’s MacKenzie Johnson, we at 360 Media find ourselves reflecting on the many years we had the privilege of working alongside her + the impact she had on us professionally + personally.
For nearly two decades, MacKenzie was an integral part of the spirit and heartbeat of ADAC, helping shape not only the organization but also the relationships and sense of community that make it so special. Through every interaction, she brought warmth, grace, generosity and an unmistakable light that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
There are few people who embodied community the way MacKenzie did. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed, valued and connected, whether they were longtime industry leaders or attending their very first event. Her impact extended far beyond her role, touching countless lives across the design community and beyond.
The stories, tributes and memories that continue to be shared are a testament to the profound influence she had on so many. Her Atlanta Journal-Constitution obituary beautifully captures the legacy she leaves behind and the extraordinary person so many were fortunate to know, work with and call a friend.
As we continue to navigate this loss, our thoughts remain with MacKenzie’s family, friends, colleagues and the entire design community. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever woven into the fabric of ADAC and the many lives she touched.
