AJFF is doing quarantine right. They know we’ve all been hunkered down for the last 2 months and watched endless amounts of Netflix so their newest webinar is all about Unorthodox. The acclaimed miniseries features a young woman who runs away from her ultra-orthodox community and marriage in Brooklyn. She’s taken in by a group of musicians – until her past comes calling.

Make sure to watch the four-episode show and then join AJFF for a live Q&A with actor Jeff Wilbusch and co-creator Alexa Karolinski. They’ll be sharing all about translating Deborah Feldman’s autobiography Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots to the small screen in Netflix’s first-ever primarily Yiddish production, as well as their personal experiences with the story. If you would like to ask them questions to answer live, make sure to submit them here ahead of time!

The event is free, but registration is required. Follow along with AJFF on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for all upcoming podcasts + webinars. Don’t forget to take part in AJFF Playback, their bracket-style film contest of past festival favorites.
