October is an exciting month, filled with haunted houses, fall festivities + costumes. All of the fun, however, can distract us from frightening problems that our students are constantly dealing with right here in Atlanta. 16,000 low-income students struggle across our city, and Communities In Schools (CIS) of Atlanta serves over 4,000 of those kids. This Thursday, October 26, join Meredith Kelly (CIS Site Coordinator for Hollis Innovation Academy) as she takes over the @CISAtlanta Instagram to share her experiences with at-risk students, some of their many struggles, and how she helps break down barriers and empower students to stay in school and graduate.

CIS is the only organization that is woven into the fabric of our schools and families to deliver customized services and support to Atlanta’s students. To learn more about CIS, visit www.cisatlanta.org.
