Sharing your story on social media can seem daunting when you feel like you’re constantly fighting for the viewer’s attention. There’s a great deal of information out there, and it’s all being thrown at us from different directions. So, how do you make your content rise to the top and share your story through the many levels of social media?
One of the most effective ways to share your story on social media is to continuously create content. Once that content is made, share it through a multitude of platforms. Your content may not go viral 100% of the time, but if it’s consistent your audience will see the story you’re creating.
Start with the big picture, using blog posts, podcasts, e-blast, and even YouTube videos to get your big ideas and stories out there. Once your larger content has been released, start to break it down. See what can be distributed throughout smaller platforms.
There’s a lot of trial and error that goes into content creation, but consistency is key. Next time you’re building out your content calendar, think about the bigger picture. Question whether or not your content can be stretched into a larger campaign, if it can be shared across a multitude of platforms, and how it can be a part of your bigger picture.
