Now more than ever, we are seeing our community and city come together and rise to the occasion to support one another and Mission + Market is doing their part through the new free meal program. When lay offs began happening left and right, Chef Ian Winslade knew he wanted to do something to help the community and decided Mission + Market could take at least one worry off of people’s plates – their meals. Because of this need, Chef Ian created the program to help those whose jobs have been lost due to COVID-19 and has since been able to serve over 700 meals to those affected.

“In only three weeks’ time, we’ve had the privilege to provide more than 700 meals to those in our community who have found themselves jobless due to this unimaginable virus,” said Chef Ian. “We hope to be able to continue to grow this program, providing as much and as often as we can.”

Every Thursday, Mission + Market will provide one free meal and one adult beverage to anyone who has lost their job because of COVID-19. Each week, there will be options available to choose from such as fish, chicken, beef or vegetarian so there is something to suit everyone. These donated meals can be secured by sending a direct message to Mission + Market on Instagram every Wednesday. Guests can pick up meals 4-6pm each Thursday through curbside service. Simply call the restaurant upon arrival and pull up at valet to receive the meal.
