As most PR people know, the PR world doesn’t stop as the holiday season rolls in. In fact, it does everything but, as there are plenty of short and long lead stories that are available for your clients all year long. Take a look through these pitch and social content ideas for November.

  1. National Holidays and Observances – There’s an abundance of holidays and observances the country celebrates each month. Do any relate to your business? Determine which you could use for clever pitches or social media content. Here are a few that we dig: Happy Hour Day (Nov. 12); National Philanthropy Day (Nov. 15); National Recycling Day (Nov. 15); National Adoption Day (Nov. 17); National Unfriend Day (Nov. 17); Black Friday (Nov. 23); National Espresso Day (Nov. 23); Giving Tuesday (Nov. 27); National Diabetes Month; National Peanut Butter Lovers Month.
  2. Turkey Day (November 22) – The list is basically endless with the amount of topics that can be spun off of the theme of this holiday: travel tips, food-related stories, how to cope with family visiting, how to create new traditions, how to maintain health during the food-focused holiday, unique table centerpieces.
  3. Fall/Winter Puns – Go for the straight marketing promotions with fun puns such as “fall into [these new offers]” or “fall in love with our…” or “warm up with [savings on cozy bedding]”.
  4. Fall/Winter Menu Transitions – Many restaurants have perfected their menus + are rolling them out for the new season. This provides the chance to announce new dish + beverage menu additions and possibly even an opportunity for a media tasting.
