Starting March 20, the Atlanta BeltLine will be temporarily closing Irwin St., near Krog Street Market, in order to construct a portion of the Eastside extension trail. While we understand this is an inconvenience for many, we are excited about what this will ultimately bring to the neighborhood. The continued expansion of the Eastside trail is another step toward the completion of the Atlanta BeltLine which we feel is one of the most significant development projects in Atlanta history. A detour has been mapped out to still provide vehicular, pedestrian + bike traffic to the market, as noted in the map above.
