Each year, Communities in Schools (CIS) of Atlanta holds an awards dinner to celebrate the best students in their 65 school programs across metro Atlanta. This program is called “Choose Success”. From student groups who have made a difference in their communities through service projects to individual students who have made significant improvements in school, CIS students have shown their passion for succeeding in school and making a difference in their community.

In addition to honoring students, CIS will continue its tradition of presenting the Anne Cox Chambers Champion for Kids Award to a community leader who has gone above and beyond to support students and the entire community. This year’s very special recipients will be Patty Pflum, former Executive Director of Communities in Schools of Atlanta and Neil Shorthouse, founder and former CEO of Communities in Schools of Georgia.

Please join us at Flourish Atlanta on Thursday, March 15, 2018 to celebrate these outstanding students and community leaders!
