We began our intern series a few months ago to revisit past interns + see where they’re at now. Next up is Mackensie Freeman, a rising senior at the University of Michigan. Mackensie was with 360 exactly a year ago + spent the summer soaking up PR knowledge while being beyond helpful to our team.
Along with school, Mackensie is interning for the Marketing and Communications Women of Atlanta Facebook group + working as an artist manager for a rising jazz singer in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She said her writing practice at 360 has proven essential in these two roles + she learned the importance of keeping content concise + engaging.
Her advice for current + future interns? “Don’t be afraid to ask for feedback. The team at 360 is amazing so definitely take advantage of their skills, They helped improve my writing and they stressed the importance of being detail-oriented, which I have come to appreciate even more.”
In the future, Mackensie hopes to work in entertainment PR, specifically for music. Plus, she’d love to teach barre as a side hustle. Personally, we can’t wait to see what she does next.
